I love playing with small children. I love listening to what they are doing, to what their current passion is.
I love playing with them games that they devised themselves. I love to bring in my creativity in addition to theirs. I love how they integrate external elements, by me or by others, into their game. I love how we can play hide and seek differently, when they are actually too young to understand the rules. I love to tune in to where they are in their development. And to just play with them, without them having to change or learn anything, while they are allowed to be there, and I with them. It gives me peace, just being with these little ones, right where they are in their still very young lives.
